On the subject of Alzheimer’s and my experience with my mother, the song highlights the journey traveled by those who have lived with a loved one experiencing “the long goodbye”. Hopefully this attention will raise awareness of the need for more answers in the search for causes and cures for the ever increasing appearance of this disease.
Due to the great interest in our music video for the song “Who I Am” on the subject of Alzheimer’s we have set up a way for folks to make donations towards the completion of our feature length documentary on the same topic. In the absence of any cause or cure breakthroughs to date, in this doc we are concentrating on practical ways for caregivers to cope and successfully stay connected as best as possible with their loved ones affected by this disease in their long and often lonely journey. In addition, we will empower caregivers with ways to stay healthy and strong in order to deal both with the incredible burden of caregiving and with the prevention of Alzheimer’s in their own bodies.
